adding onto this, maybe change the max stack of cobwebs to be 16 so they arent spammed as much and make them breakable while in combat. i think it would people play more as a team so they dont get singled out in cobwebs and since it could be destroyed in combat you will see players trying to save eachother by breaking them out

horrible idea, why? u will always get it spammed, they are allowed outside combat and it is completely enough, enabling it in combat even with being able to break it in combat is not good idea. it will be spammed either way, terrain will be griefed more commonly and this place will look like loka, should we also enable 33% damage boost carb? or lets reduce pearl cd to 7 seconds?

if u wanna use cobwebs go play UHC

I honestly think its a good idea but pike to have a specific amount of cobwebs per chunk to make sure that forts dont look like spider spawners

andrew had a good idea of a max amount of webs per chunk to prevent spamming. cannons greif terrain either way? im not suggesting to clone loka im just saying this would help counter horses, and would encourage playing as a team @ijust

good suggestion and great counter, if people are allowed to use vanilla stuff like poison pots and arrows for interesting combat this should be allowed too, I also remember there is also a feature rn that allows u to break cobwebs mid combat so its not broken as people think it is

u can counter horses without being in combat, meaning u can place cobwebs RIGHT NOW, to prevent horseman.
besides, if horseman is problem, why aren't your side of this war using it? i can tell u why, cause horses have Billions of counters on ccnet and the opponent of yours USE THEM. when i was your oponent, i could easily melt your horses without cobwebs, want a tip? use poison arrows, what can horse rider do? throw milk potion at it? nope. it fully counters horse (sorry neb)

icy crossbow, slows down horse, u spam it, horse can't move. then u crit it out. draining horse rider out of potions is super easy since horse rider needs to carry lot of speed potions for his horse, hay bales (sometimes) to heal it and fire resistance since horse armor doesn't have heatproof. u can also fight back horse man (idk if u tried instead of complaining about it), u can actually damage them alot and they won't be able to get swift combo on u.
besides, horses can't move in any type of terrain, use holes, trees, bunch of stuff. horse is least OP thing on ccnet atm

by personal experience, i fought against neb once, and i used poison arrows, he wasn't able to use horse so he didn't use it anymore. it's that simple, one guy can stop horse usage in whole fight...

cobwebs are disabled at siege zones so u cant counter the horse out of combat. you always say why dont we use horses too, but we dont enjoy using these weird strats and just want to have fun lol

well it doesnt matter if u can use cobwebs or not, i never needed them to counter horses.
and that u dont enjoy using horses it doesnt mean no1 else should lol. egoistic as heck as usual.
horses have 100 counters, use your brain cells and counter it using 1 out of 100

Assuming cobwebs were limited in your inventory as a whole (lets say 16 per player for this example) I would see it being a fairly good addition

In the sieges I end up watching I see those purebred horses escaping the moment their rider is at risk.

stun-locking a horse requires adequate teamwork which 1 players shouldn't force the other side to use just because they exist

icy bows are a "counter" but more often then not the rider is the one getting hit (so no effect)

On the other hand, I like how using a horse (and reducing your abilities without a horse) forces your opponent to also sacrifice some of their versatility to counter you, it makes the battlefield more dynamic instead of players just losing 1 Health-pot to gain another tool which inconveniences both purists and horse riders

ijust ive seen horses all day at shimazu and the only one time a horse died was then 6 PLAYERS were critting it out, i even used icy with 1 other person critting the horse and it didnt make much of preventing the horse from getting away

I think ijust had a bad day... Cool tho carb maybe cobwebs auto wipe from the ground every 3 or 4 minutes or something so they arnt spammed all day.

u guys are making horses unusable with cobwebs even though horses are already unusable if u simply use poison arrows lol, and that u can't aim your crossbow to horse that has 3x hitbox than rider, its plain skill issue :sob:
reason horses are buffed on ccnet is to make them usable, cobwebs are making them unusable. simple explanation

the problem is not that horses are hard to counter, problem is that u don't try to counter horses, u use non-strategical tactics and fail, and u god damn know it that u will fail. if u use simple strategy, u won't have any trouble, besides, cobwebs will be 99% used to annoy players during combat.

Horses are already almost unusable in siege zones. Once again let me say, I am one of the only players who manages to use them successfully, don't base the "meta" of me, because I've been perfecting using horses for two years.
Lets make no mistake here, even the least intelligent player could use cobwebs to make horses completely and utterly unusable in a siege zone, horses die to a few crits, get stun locked by a single tick of damage from anything, and get shredded by guns and cannons. They can only survive by maintaining speed.

It does not require "teamwork" to stun lock a horse, it requires any barrier or a few guns or a few players or debuff arrows.

on horseback using any type of projectile weapons slows u down like crazy from 14 speed horse to lets say 3-4

This won't be a good idea cuz Rome can get like 80 ppl in a siege that have 16 cobwebs per person and it will be spammed alot, blocks were never breakable in combat and it should stay that way! Polaris doesn't have that and makes kills almost impossible since u can just dig urself underground and those who don't have a pick will just die. If this gets implemented just make blocks breakable and fence gates openable.
