The children (and adults) yearn for the stars. I beg.
- Planets/moons/meteors could be overflowing with various elements, uranium, gold, diamond, and other things. Methane is pretty prominent on planets in the Milky Way but that could be replaced with lakes full of oil instead
- meteorites could occasionally crash down in wilderness carrying a smaller amounts of those materials
- space suits: function like hazmats + the ability to not instantly die in space
- jetpack: only works in space and releases short bursts of “air” to push you in a direction. Has limited fuel so, you still need to be careful about traveling too far away from your ship
- outposts: nations can set up a single outpost on another planet for harvesting resources before transporting it back to earth
- docking stations: super massive (and extremely expensive) ships that can serve as a town. These stations are protected from war and griefing however, you need to upkeep the energy/fuel. If the energy gets too low, protection will be disabled and grieving enabled
- shuttle: a type of movecraft (with similar size requirements as a zep) used to traverse space. It is not strong enough by itself to exit the earth’s gravitational pull
- rocket: a type of craft that a shuttle can be attacked to. It’s a large tipped cylinder that is required to exit the gravitational pull of the earth
- escape pod: a sub craft that can be separated from the main craft that it’s attached to. No matter where it is launched from, it will take you to earth. Of course, the further you are, the longer it’ll take
- launch pad: a large area to launch a rocket from. It’s a safety precaution to reduce the blast. Those standing within range will die from fire and explosions without a launch pad
