Ramming is broken in 3 ways:
1) Ramming is physically not working as well for some reason? It takes multiple attempts to actually push someone and do damage.
2) Ramming is actually terrible: especially against destroyers... when a cruiser/destroyer is boxing me, due to activation distance they cant use torpedos. But when I ram them to escape, it automatically puts them at optimal torpedo range so any advantage I have gained from freeing myself I have immediately lost. Rotating does not always work either especially if you rotate into a spread of torpedos.
3) Ram damage is barely existent? It allows therefore ships to instead of not boxing dreadnoughts, to simply take turns to box or weigh up advantages.
In essence: Ramming was a very good idea but needs some work:
1) Increase the damage drastically, Dreadnoughts shouldn't be a ship anyone wants to get close to, they are too slow to chase and therefore its entirely justifiable to make their ramming do upto 5% of damage per ram.
2) Increase Torpedo activation distance/increase how far ships are pushed when rammed the first time. Currently it appears that on the first ram the ships dont move as much.
3) Make damage count first time, this punishes low skill clumsy gameplay and makes dreadnoughts respectable at close range.
