My friend wants to play ccnet but doesn't have premium and in my country that's 40 dollars. I asked staff and it's not possible apparently

Most non-premium players are very young, have poor knowledge of the English language and are toxic. Fewer non-premium players stay on the server than premium players, but they disproportionately generate work for staff through toxicity, theft and other rulebreaking activities. Moreover, allowing non-premium accounts invariably leads to a surge in alts. So unfortunately there is not much interest in this right now.

If your country has horrible pricing, just use a vpn to get better prices

I am cracked player, I am from romania and I am C1 english. whats the point, i dont understand? Even Notch Said it in a reddit post: "Just crack it down". Minecraft got its name from cracked players since the game itself is not cheap

Why are yall acting like zaify is saying all of this based on assumptions, okay maybe you are a cracked player and are different from the average cracked player, but the owner of the server really wouldnt disallow cracked players if he hasn't had bad experiences with them

I think you are all overthinking this. We're just saying that — for the most part — non-premium players generate more trouble than we can handle. Many don't understand the server nor the rules and this places considerable pressure on staff. And alting has all but stopped since we denied the entry of new non-premium players.

How about a vouching system so current players can invite their friends who can not afford to buy the game? With such system, if person A vouches for person B and person B ends up being a ban evader or just a trouble maker you can then dispose of both player A and player B

At that point if you joined the CCNET discord and know of it, then its just bruteforcing the names as if it were a password list. Sure you can get blocked rate limited ip banned and whatever (and its a long list of non-existent names) but again, more work then it is worth.
Zaify has a point about a ton (most) being the sort of cruft you really don't want

I'm glad that I joined this server when it was accepting offline-mode players but I understand why shut it off.
