I agree with this... however perhaps it should be pushed to 12 or 24 hours? I have had very negative experiences with newbies who are extremely toxic and exploited this protection to grief, burn people with lava, etc. and it is extremely frustrating. I also think that the timer should also keep going even if they're offline (and if that is implemented, then the timer should be at least 24 hours).

From the new player's perspective, this is nothing but a problem for them.

Lol you're only saying that so that your new recruits can abuse the heck out of protections. I've had at least a dozen encounters with newbies abusing the protection and frankly, 48 hours is too long. Most find a town in less than 24 hours so the protection should end once they join a town.

Skill issue. If you can't kill a noob currently, you still can't kill one if this change happens.
