I have thought about loans a lot. In theory, it would work if (1) the server recorded credit scores, and (2) all money paid by those who do not pay their loans on time is confiscated and used for repayment.

In practice, I doubt anyone would be willing to lend money even with these safeguards.

Zaify then why not disable protections on locked chests and force as much money as possible from their balance or allow people to take from their Ender chest

Why not just send them into the negative? They still have to re-gain the money then, else they wont be able to use various functions of the economy.

Can be abused and cause a large net-increase of cash in the ecomomy.

Not a good idea in my opinion

You could make the person taking out the loan put up certain items as collateral (using /value as the method to determine an items worth)
