I'm writing this suggestion mainly because of the newer update that you have to download the resource pack to join CCnet so now I have to listen to guns.

I'm writing this suggestion because the guns are too loud and you cannot even lower their volume without lowering your main volume which creates problems while pvping or just doesn't make the game feel right (at least for me).
I think that a lot of people who fight in sieges can agree with me that guns are just too loud.

And if gun volume cannot get lowered I think it would be fair to give the option to players to disable the resource pack.

Not only guns, shells and some sf machines aswell. Should be a button to lower the volume ^^

Because going to a siege, camping the banner and being semi AFK to be awoken from it by gunfire and a small heart attack is the OG CCnet expirience and server would be meaningless without it.

Boris, being AFK on the banner in a siege is a very stupid thing to do.
And the entire point of my suggestion is to lower it not to make it completely muted or give an option to lower it.

They can quite literally assign the sound do another slider that is not main. Something like mob sounds, ambient sound or whatever so that you can adjust that instead of main slider
