There is a giant open space in that area people want a region there and air movecraft vs air movecraft is some of the most fun combat. Cons are 1) air movecraft causes high amounts of lag and is prone to glitches 2) it would need its own special code to override the zep/ carrier distance requirements and the region would need to be very large

an Air region is already planned but hard to create being fighters are quite fast. i have made a more detailed suggestion like this but it isnt coming anytime soon probably.
