Let’s look at this logically, why would you want this? You want it for your town south of oasis when you realized that it is too far from wanted to have an effective air base. So what if you pay even 150$ extra per day aircraft are a critical asset plus it is just a carrier but with a little less range and it cannot be killed

This is so stupid because it would make carriers useless and help you only.airbases are unbalanced because it makes Zepp and carriers useless while also not fitting the meta well

and it wont make carriers go useless hello?, each nation right now if 1 airbase per 25 towns would only have 2 airbase max. So its either they choose to place airbase as defensive or offensive, and it would cost them strategically since there is 1 week cooldown for setting a town as airbase.

1 week is enough to jus to two sieges move the base and do 2 more. This mostly just doesn’t make sence for ccnet because there is no counter for the town allowing aircraft out

This is a terrible idea because you can’t take out the air assets by attacking the base. You can kill the carrier or zep now why would you make a way that cannot be killed

Actually that's how we could make it balanced. Make it like the town is under siege when its being used as an airbase. Allow for destruction and pvp in the town. And maybe require some kind of structure in the town for the aircraft so we have something to blow up.

Make it so that the first time you switch it to be an airbase you can't turn default for like 30 days and when you want it to be one again you need to wait another 30d

BlueFire why are you against it, The sole reason that planes are bounded to carrier is so it wont be used for fast disposable transport crafts. I find the idea of planes unable to fly in deep land territories absurd.
1. my suggestion implied a penalty for having air base town type.
1.1 It having [%] increased in upkeep
1.2 It having type change penalty of [x] days/month(s),
2. It has worst range than a carrier, right now only way for people to use fighters in deep territories are zeps, and zep range is 400 which is 5 seconds of traveling straight line on a fighter at 50% speed.

Extra debuff it could have is that it takes [x] diplomatic points to own an airbase type town

I can see this work in very few select areas of the map. Maybe if one of the requirements was for it to be 2000 blocks away from an ocean/ocean variant biome

Maybe make it have explosions enabled during battle sessions (with reduced damage)

Also the diplomatic point penalty mentioned above.

RuleBlocks its bad idea cuz it will turn into warzones most of the places in territories + % upkeep aint a problem for many in the server
