Would be nice if we could just use them in rivers. Coastal towns have enough benefits already

The biggest issue with this was that people would simply use the Black Sea as a carrier location that couldn't be attacked by enemy ships.

Also the issue with simply allowing androids in river biomes is that a lot of river biomes extend far past the river itself, so allowing their placement in river biomes would encourage serious terrain defacement and also devalue coastal towns and androids themselves.

1. You don't need to deface any terrain to use a fishing android its 1 block.
2. Coastal towns could do with a little devaluing having access to ships is a massive advantage.

Shipping and transport wise ships have more storage and are faster. They just hard nerfed trucks speed and trains need you to build rail lines which are very easy to ambush. With a corv you can cross the world in 15 min. What exactly do inland towns get that balances this out.

Plant the issue is that yes, you don't need to deface any terrain to use a fishing android- but since when has the lack of need to do something that defaces the map ever been regarded by the playerbase? If given the opportunity, someone will ruin something. Best to avoid it all together.

Also, coastal towns have every right to maintain their value. They were well-placed and hard to attain due to their demand. As I've said before, people who play their cards right shouldn't have to concede the fruits of their hard work and planning just because other people are less capable or committed.
