During sieges, sometimes allied soldiers don't follow directions, cause trouble, team fight/kill, etc, and there's no way of removing them from the siege without unallying their entire nation. Getting the soldier's nation leader to remove their rank is also not always a viable option, as there may be more than one sieges they are attending.

If you cannot control allied forces, don't have them as allies

As a nation leader you shouldn't have ANY control over another nation's forces.

(+ the obvious point that it opens another can of worms when it comes to betrayals)

This is a diplomacy issue: You need to diplomatically engage with your allies to correct such problems.

Shouldn't have any control? Of course you should, especially when it's your siege. It's not an uncommon thing for allied forces to be under the command and control of a different commander.
