This is just to save everyone time I don’t understand why people hate wasting their day sitting around doing nothing. We could be fighting sessions or touching grass in the time we wait for regions lol.

The siege window time was already reduced from an hour —> 30 minutes. Driving to the siege with a corvette takes up at most 10 minutes of your time and if thats’ too much for you then in my opinion just dont come to the siege. Noone is forcing you to come. With the “pre-placing regions” every siege region would just become a huge fight which will most of the time be a 20v20 if not more and I think most of the playerbase would not enjoy these large scale laggy fights risking their entire fleet to be lost as happened previously in South-Atlantic.

Besides that, surprise attacking a region is in my opinion a fun and strategic aspect of nations and implementing this would just completely wipe that aspect off of the server.

The problem i see with this is it gives an advantage to the defending side. You either have to spend 10k to leave the option open to siege. Or you put the 10k down only to then find out an hour later that they pulled 30 ships you have no chance of winning and now you have to burn ships or eat the expense.

I makes the defenders job easier they don't have to be as on call to hold it. While making the attackers harder because it either costs you money if you decide not to siege or you don't place it and now the defender must make no effort to hold it.

So where is the aspect of surprise attack? if you are owning a region your default setting should be that "it is going to be sieged" you have to be preped that it will be sieged thats the point of defending. How is this realistic that a fight is announced in advance like few hours prior. Server should not change its dynamics according to your comforts catfesh quit crying.

I have to agree with Fqrtex here. Surprise regions is a thing. And the defenders need to be on hold and ready to defend at all times. Just like frontlines irl.

Guys realistically you CANNOT think we don't know region window times and that we don't see when you guys are prepping your ports and your pilots are there (even if they log off we saw them going there) like if y'all really put surprise sieges as main argument please make your surprise sieges at least a bit more unexpected. Most of the time we lose a region it is because a lot of us couldn't pull up that time, noticing we do ping way before region windows start most of the time, especially for naval ones. In addition, let's say it takes average 10mins to go to a region using a corvette, that you are supposed to arrive at least 5 minutes before siege window opens in order to be organized, then that's already 45 minutes wasted of your time, multiply that 3 times that is already 135 minutes, aka 2 hours and 15 minutes, and that is about the average minimal time, noticing it can be way more. Now let's say you sleep 8 hours a day, that gives you 15 hours a day of non sleeping, 2 hours and 15 minutes is 15% of 15 hours, and personally I really don't wanna waste 15% of my time during weekends on waiting for a region that won't happen. This is common sense, please put the sides apart, I don't think anyone wants to spend at least 15% of their weekend time doing nothing but waiting for a fun fight that won't happen.

TLTR waiting for regions fun fights takes you at least 15% of your weekend time, and surprise sieges are very often not very surprise sieges, only surprise there is people not sieging it those regions, making people waste 15% of their time. Common sense would say if we can reduce that wasted time it would make regions system better.

Catfesh you are acting like you are forced to stay online to defend? If you want you can log off too that is also an option literaly staying on if you see me in port while preping it does not mean i will siege north atlantic i have not sieged it in a year maybe this what you guys are trying to make will just fully disable naval regions from this server because nobody will siege them literaly you making these kind of suggestions shows how addicted you are to this game if you think you have to log on every 2 hours in your holidays to defend every region which 1 nation is not suppsed to hold all of them but if you can then its good these regions are supposed to be competetive otherwise who would even bother sieging them?

This is a competitive server in which players spend a lot of time i strongly doubt they want to lose a region for which they worked hard. Also if you think rome doesn't deserve to hold the naval regions then train your people at naval movecraft and siege the regions to win them, it is that simple. It's like if I was saying Coalition shouldn't hold all pvp regions just because we lost them or that xxx shouldn't occupy xxx nation just because that nation and it's allies weren't able to defend xxx from the occupying nation. For example a lazy person that does not succeed in something cannot complain that a hardworking person succeed in that thing, it's just nonsense, applies to both sides.
In addition I do think that if people want to participate in the defense of a region because it means fun fights, I very much doubt they will be able to see that the region got sieged by being outside doing something and even if they will be able to see it I doubt that they will be able to just stop instantly what they were doing to defend that region.
Also logging off CCNet does not mean you aren't waiting on discord for a ping saying that the enemy sieged the region, which again, takes you back to waiting an absurd amount of time that wouldn't happen if the region siege could be announced in advance.

This literaly shows that you have never been in a ship region before or you are just talking of what you have heard in voice chats, you can not tell me that you want to swich the server system of regions sieges just because i have to train pilots. The region was not even supposed to get sieged at all its not my fault you thought that we will siege and brought the whole fleet online i mean not you but the admiral of Alliance, japanese came to see how i have improved my port with more space and better ships that has nothing to do with the north atlantic also you can not compare PvP regions with SvS regions thats a whole different story everyone can participate in a PvP region does not even matter if you are good or bad because it costs 60 points but in SvS combat a literal Destroyer sinking costs 4000 points which is already too much if it sinks.
So i think that the region system right now its very good and balanced in the same time it has been like this for years and everyone has agreed with it that its good but just now because you pulled over 20 people for a siege that was not going to happen does not mean you have to spam suggestions?(even if you do then you have to leave somebody experienced to talk about this not someone who has never been in a ship region before).

Its fairly easy to learn naval movecraft fyi and I am talking in general not only because of one naval region not happening, again I'd like not to waste 15% of my time just to possibly have fun.
