This is such a terrible suggestion, adding randomness to a siege just takes away the point of sieging, specially taking into account you only listed effects that boost your side, I didn't see one talking about removing movecraft or nerfing certain types, only ones that would either be neutral or benefit your side, if you are losing try improving instead of making suggestions to try and buff your teams playstyle

there could also be modifiers for the sides, like
- Fort Immunity: the fort cannot be drilled (maybe this only applies every second session)
- Buffed siegebase: every second session (If this and the fort immunity are both on, then this would trigger every session when the fort immunity isnt active), cannons (not turrets) can be used from the siegebase

Other ideas:
- Kill streak multiplier: people who have more kills whithout dying gain more points by killing (like +5% after every kill), but if they die, they lose more points
- Bad fighter multiplier (name can be changed less toxic, i just dont have an idea rn): people who haven't got kills or assists in an entire session, gain a buff the next session (this stacks up after every session they didnt get kills or assists), which means that they lose less points if they die, and gain more points for their first kill

Ngl tho, these "Other ideas" should be forever active, would make sieges bit more fun, and would encourage newer, not as experienced players to go to sieges

Yo fake4 btw read the suggestion I asked for people to add more modifier ideas, and also those are just suggested ones that I think are fairly neutral (they're just pvp modifiers) if you think there should be modifiers around movecraft then please add it as a comment instead of accusing me of trying to win lmao. This is actually really cool and takes away some of the sweatiness by adding some fun whimsy to sieges and may even lead to some abandoned sieges if people don't like their modifiers.

I'm not guaranteeing we'll add this but I'm definitely going to take a longer look at this concept.

I especially like the multi banner idea, maybe banners can spawn a bit randomly on the unpeaceful towns border to discourage the claim metagaming - I would love anything that stops playing from surrounding towns just to "get the advantage" - such obnoxious metagaming gameplay. Much harder to metagame if you can't fix the outcome.

Can we please stop trying to band aid fix the sieges and actually acknowledge the source of the problem?
1.Sieges are not meant to be held every week
2. Sieges are not meant to have all of the server in them in every single siege
3. Nations with different lvl should not be allowed to fight eachother

ANYTHING else is just a way to stall the problem of sieges. NOT fixing it once and for all.

Let me be clear this is a nice suggestion that will add a bit of freshness and uniqueness to each sieges.
Will it stop the current meta? definitely no
Will it balance sieges? 100% no
Will it make things worse by skewed rng? Most likely

hi everyone! I think like half the modifiers listed here would be really cool and a cool addition, but you have to take into account that both sides have different playstyles and its important to keep it balanced. The split banner idea sound balanced and fun, but no pearls will just end up making everyone mainhand knockback swords (both sides hate that and it will just ruin the fun for everyone) permanent buffs sounds good aswell since it dicreases the prep for sieges and it removes the annoying moments when u run out of buffs mid fight. No digging is just not compatible with ccnet, especially with movecraft since nowadays every battlefield looks like a maze of sand. If you want some ideas to balance it u could maybe make it so its per session and both sides have a set amounts of modifiers to activate per siege, making it have more strategy to it. Another idea for a modifier i tought of is removing debuffs, lot of players cope about it and could make the siege more fun. Let me know your opinion on this. :)

some of the ideas are good but i think the randomness would affect the siege too much. It would affect one of the side more than the other one. Adding randomness is not gonna change sieges much because defending/attacking side will always have advantage in specific effects. I think this would need to be talked through with playerbase and deeply checked it might seem easy to make but in reality it will change the sieges forever. Some of this modifires simply take out diffrent ways of killing people which would make sieges much boring and people would start to avoid sieges with modifiers that they dont like/dont help them which would end as one side always winning because other side would not even try contesting.
