Before anything, every single topic I will discuss in this suggestion has been made by the ccnet comunity as a whole in the CCnet Siege Petition Discord, I strongly advise joining it and reading the player discussions on the respective topics as some of the most productive ideas to solve some of the current problems have been shared there by great players.
The petition:
Hello everyone, I'm Fake4, leader of the nation , Telurian Federation, I'm writing this to try and convince the ccnet staff to change some of the current siege mechanics.
As a siege grinder, nation leader, and overall a player that has experienced most of the content in the game, I can guarantee, 95-99% of people that play this server whether grinders, roleplayers, builders, redstoners, movecrafters even pvpers, would rather have the ccnet experience with a lower amount of sieges, "why?", currently the siege meta has been extremely competitive, brewing a toxic environment due to everyone fighting each other every single week, this takes away peoples time to enjoy the server during the weekend, as the main players are always needed in sieges as if they don't go, their allies and friends might get occupied.
Talking from my experience for the past (almost) 2 years playing this server I can rarely enjoy a week, nation building, developing my towns, creating nice infrastructure for my nation, enjoying player made events, and even get together with neighbor nations to improve the current state of the continents that we live, this being by creating roads for trucks or cool events.
During the week I always have to prepare sieges, recruit pvpers and people from other servers so I can have a chance in my sieges and just spend most of my time dedicating to preparing my fort and the nation towns for an eventual war, that can happen every week or so.
Moving on to the atual suggestions, the most wanted out of all suggestions was the introdution of more regions with 92 people liking the idea, of which:
[51] Said they would like Air movecraft regions to be implemented
[66] Said they would like more regions across the map
[49] Said they would like specific regions having player caps (ex. 10v10 navals, 15v15 pvp etc)
[38] Said Smaller regions across the map, using smaller crafts
[31] Region SOI *1
*1 Region SOI, Region SOI would only be allowing nations in the range permission to siege and participate in the region, nothing would change towards sieges, it would just be region related, to allow every nation to contest their close regions against their enemy neighboors.
The biggest debate across the whole petition by far was the Delay between sieges, where 85 people voted, where 65 said they would prefer longer delay between sieges.
[20] Said they would prefer the current timer between sieges.
[59] Said they would prefer a 2 week delay between sieges.
[3] Said they would prefer a 3 week delay between sieges.
[3] Said they would prefer a 1 month delay between sieges.
These are all the numbers gotten from the polls made in the discord, these numbers can be checked by joining the discord, I will not directly say what staff should or shouldn't do, as people may see it as biased conclusion from data, so I'll let staff check the numbers and figure what they would prefer doing, considering the overall player opinion.
Some other, suggestions made by players were:
War exhaustion towards nations that keep involving themselves in offensive campaigns by sieging and entering offensive sieges. -Epiclyz
Regions outcome of total of money and dividing by % so both sides recieve a fair and profitable outcome at best or atleast havent lost all their money at worst. -Illyt
Make the timer to claim the pvp region banners longer and more cap points in regions - nuxva
Create rules or create mechanics to prevent the defacement of the siege area, such as terrain regenerating every off session with blocks not dropping to prevent duping - A LOT of people (One of the most requested topics I have seen)
These are some of the most relevant points made by relevant players in the comunity, all this data can be reviewed in https://discord.gg/GVQE3VfMJZ
And I ask the ccnet staff to please consider all the points made in this comunity suggestion, as a lot of work has been put into it.
