This is just an illogical attempt at forcing Alliance to adopt a stance that makes it easier to siege them. Nice try.

I would like to point out that owning regions increases one's DP, therefore allowing more allies, therefore can be considered a defensive action.

Something like this being implemented would only be fair if there wasn't a cap on DP spending at 28 so that non-interventionist nations would be even harder to be sieged, as the current DP amounts don't seem to deter attack at all in the current environment.

I don't agree with this for balancing reasons. Non-Interventionist is only useful because of the cost to start sieges against NI nations. By making NI nations unable to take regions, it basically removes the entire point of being NI because the 10 diplomatic points from a region makes the 10 extra dp cost from being NI (assuming both nations are democracy because honestly the system is kinda retarded) not matter anymore. So I'd say this would only make sense if NI dp cost was not capped.

This would only be fair if DP costs weren't capped because, like both me and Potz said, with it currently being capped, NI nations need that extra DP for defensive alliances. Again this is just a bad faith attempt at securing the regions Coalition currently holds permanently. Make a better suggestion.
