Shelves are awesome, dare i say Revolutionary for building and designing ships, yet they count towards the "Barrel / Chest" cap, they only have 3 inv slots, they dont merge with turrets [as oposed to trapdoors] and are Great for turret design and creativity

i think shelves should be put in a different category [but keep the non turret merge] or have their item functionality removed on ships [items pop off / drop when /pilot [craft]] or some Alt solution

I think they should be storage and not decor in this case. It can be used for both on the interior of a ship but I would rather have the interior decor in some sort of captains quarters than removing the functionality just for exterior decor.
