In my opinion we shouldnt have to wait for sieges for a month (we have already waited a month) and the biggest drive of players is sieges. They are by far the thing which brings most people and where people have the most fun.

If there HAS to be a break from sieges then I suggest two things happen,

1. Keep all occupations (none removed) since if they are removed then it gives nations which were currently being oppressed time to toggle their forts and that isnt really fair for people who are attacking as well.. they sieged them so well.. they couldnt just escape and releasing everyone will just ruin any plans and give the losing nations a hard chance to recover which isnt rly fair..

2. Remove/reduce occupation during this period before sieges restart so then they dont get heavily taxed.

This just prevents people from getting away and changing the geopolitical situation too much.
