Welcome to the 14th development blog for Project Hegemon. This post showcases various miscellaneous features that have been added over the course of development.
Nation Map Labels
Nations now have labels on the map. Each contiguous "blob" of nation territory has its own label.
Musical Instruments
12 musical instruments have been added to represent the twelve primary Note Block instruments. By holding an instrument on your offhand and changing hotbar slots (or right-clicking with a hotbar slot selected), you can play different notes.
Sitting
You can use /sit to sit; alternatively, you can right-click on stairs or slabs.
Chat Bubbles
Chat messages will be displayed as chat bubbles above your head. Chat formatting is reflected in the bubbles.
Action Command
The /action command broadcasts an "action" to players within a small radius - think a range-limited version of vanilla's /me. Actions are also displayed as chat bubbles; you can see an example in the previous image.
Corpses
If you die, a corpse will spawn. At present, these are only cosmetic.
Particle Emotes
You can use most particles as emotes using /emote.
Roads
Horses will travel more quickly on certain road layouts. These can consist of a single layer (e.g. just grass paths) or multiple (e.g. packed mud on top of gravel). Multi-layer roads provide a greater speed boost.
Proximity XP Boosts
As mob grinding is a mind-numbing part of the game, mobs from spawners do not drop XP on Project Hegemon. Instead, being close by to other players will boost the amount of XP you acquire through other methods, such as mining and fishing. Each nearby player increases the XP boost.
Trowel
The Trowel is a tool that, when right-clicked, will place a random block from your hotbar.
