Haro this is a bit off-topic maybe but on the part of forts being designed to be unclimbable: I think it's incredibly hard for a fort to be actually unclimbable in current meta even if happy ghasts were out of the conversation, I've seen people use fishing rods to catapult each other and climb forts (even off session), and drilling also can make a fort very easily climbable during a session. I understand it's annoying (been there lol) but I think its just inevitable and will keep happening even without happy ghasts

Every fort is climable. People used fishing rods to scale forts (trillium designs) or drill to the top, or even use horses. Regardless if happy ghasts exist or not, people WILL always be on your fort.

Happy ghast climbing outskills and out speeds every other climbing method and is blatantly unfair.

i agree happy ghast are too easy to use and have no risk in it. For rods you need multiple peopel and some forts are still unclimable, drilling is much riskier and takes much longer

In sieges where everyones attention is on the banner, and not in individuals, where one side is vastly outnumbered, the opponents can just send one person to the opposite side of the banner, and just get someone to happy ghast to the top, and kill unsuspecting people, like I don't understand how this is fair, people cant do this on siegebases, so when people are defending forts, they are going to be at a greater disadvantage than ever. Gunning it down still means that the person ontop of the happy ghast still has climbed a decent way, and will remain there to tp other people.

Making a fort unclimbable by horses and other means isn't a very hard task in fact it's almost unfair on how you can do it. Having happy ghasts as a form of way to climb unfair forts is a very balanced way to climb these forts that are otherwise impossible to climb. The ghasts are very slow, they're easy to kill, and they aren't hard easy to get. saying happy ghasts are an overpowered way to climb a fort can be summed up as cope because it goes both ways, you can use them to get on siege bases and the forts.

Considering that there's a 40-block height limit and planes aren't allowed to fly over enemy forts, I don't get why happy ghasts should be a thing in sieges (neither should fishing your teammates up 300 blocks, but that's a whole different conversation). Imo, if you want to climb a fort, you should put in some effort that isn't just placing a spawn egg and balling it, i.e., drilling a staircase for people to use. The point isn't to make forts unclimbable in every aspect; it's to make it so the attackers have to put in some effort.

TLDR
Remove happy ghasts (and fishing rods)

As much as I dislike fort PvP, if we aren't wholesale moving away from it happy ghasts should not be a thing.

I get staff want to have the playerbase doing different and new things but you should not do a half way house. Either remove happy ghasts to prevent sieges becoming more unfun or completely change how sieges work.
