good idea lets get canister added on 57mm again and make the field gun completely useless since it gets 1 tapped when not on walls. No one is gonna use field guns on ground it moves like 1 block every 5 seconds and its cancer to build.

I could always be like you and say "It has been part of the game forever and no one was crying about it so deal with it" but I am not toxic. You could have made this suggestion 2 weeks ago after livland but you didnt

Field guns are the only way defenders can use anti personel shells which are good for them, unlike howitzers they have lower range so they cant be used from a far place. Same as the 240mm large howitzer, it has the ability to be used in wild but not limited to wild. Another thing is that due to low cannon depression it cant be used from high up on the fort and is only limited to lower wall placements which is easier to hit.

Its not *that much* harder to destroy them, the buff was made so that cannons dont end up being one tappable and people just run from cannon to cannon to shoot. Its better gameplay wise to stay on a single cannon rather than swapping between them every 2 seconds when its destroyed. At livland siege it was very much possible to disable all the cannons and prevent people from building them

As far as one shotting goes, it is not that much consistent. I wouldnt be against making it not one shot but that is only if it applies for the direct hit scenario or whatever happens when it does that much damage. Overall nerf will nerf the 99% scenario where it hardly does enough damage to outdamage food healing (unless theres 5 shooting or something). Basically nerf the peak damage but not the average one

Ruleblocks I was gonna make this after livland siege but decided to wait to see if you would suggest a change… it’s aids to fight for both sides and can make a banner completely uncontestable by 1 or 2 players that the attackers can’t kill…

Field guns arent that cancer to build it literally takes less than a minute to build one ht1 waffler

I have never seen dom repairing or using field guns, and a minute to build compared to a 10s of 57mm cannon build is alot, now that pji suggested that they can only be fired in wilderness it makes it way more cancer to build cuz pvp tags and moving speed of the cannon. The cannon itself takes 1 shot to die even just by breaking the tripwire it dies.

i did build them at trapezica we just couldnt use them cause it gets one tapped in wilderness compared to being boxed on your fort with block hp it takes much more time to destroy them

if your going to argue with "use fighters" to get rid of the cannon forts when your side used an acc in the black sea where cruisers cant even get in trough the canal please reconsider before typing out a 2000 word essay :)

Xtinct as said before I was gonna suggest after livland but waited to see if you would suggest it. I was gonna also gonna make this after fort generation but got caught up in coursework and waited. I then made it here due to the fact I can now prove to any staff member how painful it is to deal with this considering the potential to one tap and how slow drilling is nowadays. This isn’t a cope suggestion it’s a make sieges fun and playable suggestion. How is it fun to be consistently 1 hit by a cannon you can’t destroy??
